The Prescott Egg Club

A dozen nest run eggs, on your porch, once a week.

We run delivery routes through set areas of town, one day a week each. Your eggs go into a kraft carton and land on your porch when your route comes up. $12 a dozen, and the price per dozen drops as you take more. Delivery is included — there is no separate delivery charge.

How the club works

Five steps, then it just happens.

  1. Tell us where you are

    Fill in the membership form below with your street address and how many dozen you go through.

  2. We tell you your route day

    We reply within a day or two with the day of the week your area comes up on the route — or with your spot on the waitlist if the routes are full.

  3. Your dozens get set aside

    Eggs go into a carton with your name on it, unwashed and ungraded, exactly as they were laid.

  4. We come by

    Eggs are left in the shade at your door sometime on your route day. We cannot promise a time window — deliveries happen whenever we reach you on the run. Leave a cooler out in July and we will use it.

  5. You pay the easy way

    Card members are billed automatically each month. Cash members leave it in the little egg basket on the porch.

Pricing

$12 a dozen — less per dozen when you take more

Delivery is included in every price below. There is no separate delivery charge, no membership fee and no minimum term. The reason the price comes down is simple: the driving costs the same whether we hand you one carton or five.

Delivery is included. There is no separate delivery charge. The price on the carton is the price you pay — we would rather build the driving into the dozen than nickel our neighbors for gas.

Billing

One charge a month, or cash on the porch.

Two ways to pay, and you can switch between them whenever you like. Nothing is charged from the form below — we set billing up only after we have confirmed your route day with you.

Card on file, billed monthly

Once your route day is confirmed we send you a secure link to put a card on file. Your card is charged once a month for the deliveries you actually received that month — not per drop-off, and never in advance.

  • Card details are handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
  • Skipped weeks are not billed. Short cartons are not billed.
  • You get an emailed receipt each month showing every delivery.
  • Cancel any time from the link in your receipt, or just tell us.

Coming online The card portal is being set up now. Until it is live, monthly members are invoiced by email and can pay by card from the invoice.

Cash, in the egg basket

Prefer not to put a card anywhere? Leave your cash in the little egg on your porch on your route day. The driver swaps the cash for the cartons and leaves the basket where it was.

  • No card, no account, no app.
  • Pay per delivery, exact change appreciated.
  • If the egg is empty we still leave your cartons and catch it next week.

The route

Where we deliver

We run one vehicle, so the routes are tight on purpose. Each area of town gets one day a week, and everyone on that route is delivered on that day. If you are inside these communities we can almost certainly reach you; if you are just outside them, ask anyway — we sometimes add a street when two or three neighbors sign up together.

We do not promise a delivery time. Eggs arrive whenever we get to you on your route day. No signature needed — we leave the carton in the shade, or in your cooler if you set one out.

Paying in cash

The little egg basket

Members who would rather not put a card on file get a small pastel egg that twists open, sitting in a miniature basket. The basket lives on your porch and keeps the egg from rolling off. Tuck the cash inside, set it out on delivery morning, and the driver swaps the money for the cartons and leaves the basket where it was.

It is a wink at an old trick — a nest egg used to sit in the coop to show a young hen where to lay. Ours holds folding money instead. Card members are billed once a month and never have to think about it.

Everything goes through one form — eggs, and the interest list for whole chicken, turkeys and honey. It takes about two minutes and nothing is charged.

What happens next

  • We reply by email with the day your route runs, or your place on the waitlist.

Before you join

What does “nest run” actually mean?

These are nest run eggs: unwashed and ungraded, sold as-is, and not sorted by size or grade. They come to you exactly as they came out of the nest box — mixed sizes, mixed shell colors, the occasional feather. Arizona requires that all advertising for nest run eggs be clearly marked “nest run,” which is why the phrase is on the truck, the carton and every page here.

How should I store them?

Refrigerate them as soon as they arrive and leave them in the carton, pointed end down. Wash each egg under warm running water right before you crack it — never before you store it. Refrigeration is what keeps the quality high, and it is what we recommend for every dozen we deliver. The full explanation, including what the bloom is and is not, is here.

Who are you, legally?

Granite Homestead LLC, dba The Prescott Egg Club. We are an Arizona Nest Run Producer, Unclassified Producer ID 4007030. That registration is what allows us to sell nest run eggs directly to households, and it is why everything we print is marked “nest run.”

What does delivery cost?

Nothing extra. Delivery is included. There is no separate delivery charge. $12 for one dozen, down to $9 a dozen at five, and that is the whole price. See the full tier table.

Can I pause or cancel?

Any time. Text or email us with at least 72 hours' notice before your route day and we will skip your week — vacations, a full refrigerator, whatever the reason. There is no term and no cancellation fee. If you cancel outright, your spot goes to the next household on the waitlist.

What if the hens slow down?

They will — hens lay less in deep winter and while they are molting, and this is a small flock either way. Standing members are filled first, in the order they joined. If we cannot fill your carton we tell you before your route day, and you are never charged for eggs you did not get.

Do you have a storefront I can visit?

No. The homestead is our family's home, so we do not publish the address or take visitors. Everything moves on our own weekly route. Reach us at hello@granitehomestead.com.

Can I give you my cartons back?

Please do — we always appreciate getting cartons back. Set clean, dry dozen-size cartons out on your route day and we will reuse them. They do not have to be ours.

Do I have to sign anything?

There is a short acknowledgement on the membership form covering what nest run eggs are, how to store and cook them, and the fact that deliveries are left unattended. It has to be ticked before we can start deliveries — six plain-English points, about a minute to read.
