We keep a small flock outside Prescott. The hens range over the property all day and put themselves to bed in the coop at night. Their eggs go out unwashed and ungraded, exactly as they were laid, on a weekly delivery route around Prescott.

What we do
A working homestead, not a brand exercise.
Granite Homestead is one family, a few acres of granite and scrub oak, and a flock of hens that free-range under the pines. We are a state-registered Arizona nest run egg producer, which means we are allowed to sell a strictly limited number of dozens each year straight from the homestead — unwashed, ungraded, exactly as they came out of the nest box.
The hens are out on the property all day and shut themselves in the coop at night. Eggs are the only thing we sell, and every dozen that goes out is a dozen we would put on our own table.
Driven, not shipped
We run a set route through Prescott and the Quad City areas. Nothing goes into a mail truck, ever.
Honestly limited
We only get so many eggs in a day, and we will not promise more than the hens actually give us. Some weeks there is a waitlist.

A standing order of NEST RUN EGGS left on your porch in a kraft carton. We run our routes once a week, neighborhood by neighborhood, and you land on the day your area comes up.
- $12 for one dozen, delivery included. There is no separate delivery charge, ever.
- Down to $9 a dozen at five dozen — the more you take, the less each dozen costs.
- Card on file each month, or leave cash in a little egg basket on your porch.
- Pause, skip or cancel any week with 72 hours' notice.
Supply
We only get so many eggs in a day.
This is a small flock on a small property, and the supply is genuinely limited. When the routes are full we keep a waitlist and work through it in order. If we cannot fill your order in a given week, we will tell you before your delivery day rather than quietly shorting the carton.

What is coming
Eggs are the start of it.
We already raise our own meat birds for our own freezer, and there is more on the way. None of it is for sale yet — but the sign-up list is how we work out what to raise and how much.

Thanksgiving 2027
Turkeys
We keep turkeys already. The plan is to raise them to sell in time for Thanksgiving 2027, and there will not be many of them.
Plus a drawing for one free Thanksgiving turkey.

Our own honey
We expect honey off our own place in 2027, possibly not until the fall. We would rather say that plainly than promise you a month we cannot hit.

The face of the operation
Meet Dixie
Dixie is a Buff Orpington, and she was the first hen here to get a name. She earned it by being conspicuously friendlier than everyone else, and by being easy to pick out — she is the only one of our Buffs with white tail feathers and a neat white triangle across her back.
She also decided early on that she belonged in the car. If a door was open, Dixie was in it. So she started coming along on little drives, and that is more or less how she became the face of the operation.
